Ebena meets SheaMoisture at SXSW in Austin

The Live Music Capital of the World, Austin, TX, held its annual festival of music, film and interactive media, South by Southwest. SheaMoisture was in town for the week, so our team stopped by to connect. The natural hair product experts hosted three days of networking, panels, and talks with inspiring women and natural hair enthusiasts.

The brand hosted educational and enlightening conversations around innovation and entrepreneurship with a panel of black-owned businesses and entrepreneurs.

A celebration of natural hair, and women entrepreneurs

SheaMoisture's Meet & Greet networking lunch gathered inspiring women from all industries. We are all about connecting with new people, so it was great to meet, mix and mingle with the beautiful crowd. You could check products from the new and classic collections, or even get a hair touch-up by one of the celebrity stylists present that day. Visitors could also grab up samples of the new hair and body care collections.

The fireside chat hosted by SheaMoisture with Beauty Queen Davina Bennett, Miss Jamaica 2017 and Miss Universe 2nd Runner-Up revealed with some exciting news! The beauty queen won our hearts by sharing her inspiring life story on the path to success.

Davina is also making great social changes through her charity the Davina Bennett Foundation for the Deaf in Jamaica. Her foundation is making some impactful changes in underserved communities. Stay tuned for some exciting announcements about the collaboration of Miss Jamaica and SheaMoisture.
